The Inward Journey – Deep relaxation & transformation with Yoga Nidra combined with an extended Sound Bath
guided by Sophie Pelsmaekers
Yoga Nidra is a multi-dimensional form of guided meditation, also known as “yogic sleep” or “Non-Sleep Deep Rest” (NSDR). It calms the nervous system and activates the parasympathetic response, as it uses a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Although Yoga Nidra can be a tool for rest and relaxation, it is not merely grounded in the practical realm. It is also a spiritual doorway to inner peace, wisdom, and transformation – an invitation to experience life through the lens of clarity, stillness, and truth.
The practice draws our attention inwards, teaching us to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, navigating through the “Koshas” or layers of our deepest, all-knowing, all-welcoming self. Yoga Nidra invites us to awaken from the (un)conscious patterns that shape our existence, leading us gently and intentionally back to our source — our pure awareness.
During the journey of spoken words, your body, brain and heart will simultaneously be immersed by sounds. Where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium, this symphony may even foster deep feelings of wholeness, and inner and outer connection.
